a love story

let me tell you a story

a story that never ends ..

let me tell you a story

a story that never began

let me tell you a story

that was there when God found himself

and will still be there when God

forgets who he is

let me tell you a story

a story of love

  1. God created Man in His image to Experience this love story…again and again..Eternally..

And Man forgets that he has the Power of love in him that can elevate him to Be God ! …. and become Immortal..

    through Love …

  2. This is beautiful Shekhar.
But is it Love..why call it Love ! Is that not limiting. Does it need to have a relatable quality attached to it? Or is it Love simply because there is no other word available to describe or point to the simplicity of being..in which all simply is…do we have to pin it down with words. Does it need the support of language at all?

  3. “Love is above and beyond God.” That’s the takeaway from this poem for me. Makes sense to believers in God and atheist alike.

This poem takes is a notch higher than other poems like “Ishwar Satya hai” (means “Truth is God”, although the literal translation is “God is truth”.); and the Yeh Ishq hai qawali, where in the last line, Rafi saab sings “Bandhe ko khuddha banata hai Ishq” (Love transforms a man into God).

Shekhar’s poem is more appealing because at times many believers wonder whether God really exsists, but we all can feel love, unless we are so down and out thinking “Kasme vade pyar wafaa sub, batay hai batoon ka kya” (Promises, commitments, love, faithfulness, these are all words, mere words).

  4. Thanks for some other magnificent article. The place else may anybody get that kind of info in such an ideal manner of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I am at the look for such information.

  6. Love is beyond any descriptions. it take birth before the origination of words, so words always lag behind in true description of love.

  7. Beautiful poem! Love was there before us… Beyond life and death.
The letters are always the same, only the arrangement varies. Simple words, but very meaningful..the beauty in your writing.
    Regards.
