Today my edit room was taken over by people interviewing Shekhar for
\nthe Electronic Press Kit (EPK), so Jill could keep editing upstairs
\nis her suite.<\/p>\n
\nAn EPK is a delivery requirement of the distributer of
\nthe film and is sent out to the press. They are normally a half an
\nhour long making of documentary, including interviews with the cast
\nand key crew, an hour long version will probably also be created for
\nthe DVD. The EPK crew will visit set on and off throughout the shoot,
\nmostly on days when some of the more exciting or visually spectacular
\nscenes are being done. Apparently the interview today went very well,
\nit played more like a discussions than a Q&A.
\nIn answer to a comment posted earlier, we are editing on system
\ncalled Lightworks. It is a non-linear editing system based on the
\nSteenbeck (used for cutting on actual film). It is not as widely used
\nas Avid or Final Cut Pro, but is Jill’s and a lot of other editors
\npreferred system. For more information their website address is

\nthat is done at MPC our visual effects company, although I do rough
\nmock-ups for Jill to cut with occasionally.
