\ntake a pill
\nlisten to great music
\nmeditate or breath deeply
\nhave sex
\nor make compromises
\nstillness and peace are not the same thing
\npeace is the opposite of turmoil
\nand in search of peace you will forever struggle
\nbetween turmoil and peace
\nrunning away from one
\nand not comprehending the false nature of the other
\nthe fear of pain
\nthe welcoming of the storm of chaos
\nthe excruciating numbness of of the heart
\nwhen faced with loss of what is most desired
\nthe staring into the mirror,
\nto watch your body
\nor that of a loved one
\ncrumple into a helpless edifice of death even before it comes
\nthe mind bending anguish at
\nthe inability to find meaning beyond words
\nit is this that you must comprehend
\nfrom a temple of assumed invincibility of youth
\ninto a crumbling edifice of your individuality
\nbefore you heave at the squeaky gates
\nof My kingdom
\nto face that immense emptiness
\nmore fearful than anything
\nyour unimaginative ego
\ncould have ever comprehended
\nbeyond that emptiness
