In my previous life I was a story teller.
\nDragging myself from village to village,
\nwhere people would throw me some coins
\nto weave fantasy around their mundane lives<\/p>\n
\nAt my will
\nI would make them cry
\nand laugh.
\nChildren rolled over and clapped with joy
\nas my characters
\nfaced the most absurd plots I could weave
\nExcept him,
\nwho would neither laugh
\nnor shed a tear,
\nas he stood there
\nstaring at me.
\nChallenging
\nWould u like to hear a story ? I asked him.
\n?not unless it is the story of all stories? he said
\nAnd wherever I went he would be there
\nwatching and listening,
\nchallenging
\n?can u tell me the story of all stories ??
\nHow could there be one story that defined all stories ?
\nand if there were
\nwhat value would I have ?
\nif there be just one story to tell ?
\n?You are of no value to me? he said
\n?unless you can tell me the story of all stories?
\nAnd he walked away
\nchallenging,
\nnever looking back
\namused.
\nSilly man,
\nHow could I make a living
\nIf I told the same story
\nagain and again ?
\nBut I died.
\nNever being able to tell another story
\nHave you ever died of thirst
\nin the presence of a glass of water
\nthat you cannot see ?
\nAnd into this life
\nHe came again.
\nHe took my hand
\nand showed me the ocean
\nand asked me to see,
\nand to observe
\nFor the story of all stories was there,
\na story that had no end
\nand no beginning.
\nEach rising swell
\na new Plot that arose from the ocean
\nand then merged back
\ninstantly
\nendlessly
\nunpredictably
\ninexorably,
\nmillions arising
\nand immedietly going back to the source
