  1. Nobody creates anything truly worthwhile, without being absolutely devoted to it. It can not happen…That’s so true Shekhar. Wonderful interviews. loved it.
    Peace!

  2. I liked what he said about people like us being mere fans of Krishna but not disciples. What a guru is, is understood but what is a disciple like is not addressed here.

  3. Good snap Shekharji.
This is the first time I am visiting your blog and felt good.
Would come back regularly in coming days.

  4. Dear Shekharji,
Thank you for posting this, I wasnt aware of a person like Sadhguru, his words are much different from other spiritual leaders that I’ve heard before.
    I am glad I saw this, at a time when I feel that I need a “guru/mentor” a friend..

  5. I had been to one of his “pre-sales” pravachans in the US, and have to say, it was quite lacklustre. These new-agey gurus are tough to comprehend..some have good intentions but not qualified to talk about enlightenment, while others are plain thiefs who open some charities as a facade. What is the need to grow such long beards and dress up like that? As the real masters say..there is no holy facade about the real gurus.

  6. I dont know why I always liked you so much ..your movies..your style..your expression of emotions on Tv shows and what ever you do …yes I am following you on twitter too..you can say I am following you everywhere I possibly I can !! Above all I like the way you are…! lots of love!

  7. lovely. I saw it posted on facebook and had tears streaming down my eyes as I watched it. Thats the effect Sadhguru has on people- even if he is 10,000 miles away. Thats the effect a Guru has……he can turn on the intensity any moment even without his physical presence. And it is such a privilege having a Guru- takes many lifetimes to even find one. Cannot wait to be at the ashram: in a few days!
I dont know if u read the posts Shekhar, but if there is any one in this forum who is a seeker and is reading this, please visit the isha foundation website.
Missed the other interviews as there is only one posted on youtube.
You are truly priviledged, Shekhar, to be sharing the same space with him. Shambho.

    the joy of children…
    India as in Africa…
    same impact …
as if beyond poverty and loss there is only grace …
    where everything is well …
    according to plan…
    connected to everything else …
    as we learn to vibrate…
    with its high level frequencies…
    calling us…
    to contribute…
    ah …
the suffering and miracles of Haiti …
where life seems to be worth so very little …
    and yet…
    a space…
    filled with miracles and possibilities…
    inviting us…
    to rise up…
    2days ago I was told a mysterious story …
my gardener of many years – an eternal 30 year old “child” – who I rescued many times from his serious acting out – and yet kept earning my heart with his laughter and lightness of being had died in Zimbabwe where he had gone to spend Christmas with his family …
the impact left me breathless as I had just seen him before Christmas …
laughing as he said goodbye to his 6 year old son left behind with his young mother who suddenly appeared in front of my house…
I can see how proud you are – I told him …and how well you look after your son … I am also so very happy that you are allowing your ex to take him for a while as he needs both – mother and father …
    an old issue …
suddenly being transformed into something new …
    I had no idea …
as there was no indication Casper was sick or in any pain …
even if he would tell me from time to time …I am going to die young…
    rare moments …
where he was faced with shadow parts he did not want to see …
    crying,shaking and shivering uncontrollbaly…
as if possessed by something greater than himself…
    hummm
how little do we know …
    of the realities…
    beyond all worlds …
    and so it was …
suddenly captured by great pain – I now know had been there for a while … he deteriorated rapidly in a place where there are no doctors … no hospital… no mortuaries …
his rural… tribal home in Zimbabwe…
where for whatever reason he chose to go to…
in his time of greatest need and greatest pain…
finally he was placed in a cart pulled by a donkey taking him to a doctor somewhere.. somehow …
he died on the cart …on the way to the doctor… next to his older sister who is equally dying …
to the most profound grief by those who knew him well…and loved him … no matter what …
as if beyond his dark shadows all that remains is the lighness of his laughter and the purity of heart of an eternal child …
who forever will live inside my heart …
    in the depth of transcendence…
    where words …
    have no meaning …
    oh yes …
    how paradoxical …
due to the extreme poverty of the area he was buried without a casket … next to his mothers home…
cradled by the skin of a goat…
    bleeding into the earth …
    ah …

  10. The mark of an enlightened guru is that he/she will persistenly and consistently tell you that Self-realization is the ultimate goal and that God, guru and everything is within one’s own Self, and will give you any tools only with a firm premise of self-inquiry as the referral point.
People who preach too much about the science of spirituality, offer copyrighted solutions and energy babble are probably well intended and effective for some, but not enlightened.

  11. I am still insearch of my Guru, I have met many who taught me a lot about different aspects of my life. I think guru or guru’s will appear when seaker is ready. I find myself agreeing with some of the views Brahmastra shared here ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. Shekhar ji you know what..i feel like talking to you ….can this be possible ever.. yes it will be please give me a call.+4560108726..and if you don’t want to call give me just pass on your cell number will call you right now…please ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. brahmastra – i was told of Sadguru in 2004… but i avoided him for 5 years until last year I took the Inner Engineering program. All those 5 years were spent in self instrospection and spiritual journey – relentless and consistent self questioning. After that I strolled into that program.
From my personal experience, I can tell you that in the history of spirituality, very few BEINGs/ENTITIES like Sadguru have taken form. What he can articulate is NOT possible for just even an “ordinary” Enlightened soul (misnomer but still trying my best to convey something). It has to be someone truly out of the ordinary even amongst the highest.
But don’t long for him.. long for liberation like there is nothing else in this world… someone will get you.
    Cheers,
    Desh

  14. Desh,
If it is working out for you for now, that’s all that matters. Have you read the book “I Am That” by Nisargadatta Maharaj? If not, it is highly recommended.

  15. Hey, i am the admin of donatecarforcharity.org .Thank’s for sharing this post. This is very helpful and informative material.Good post and keep it up friend.

  16. Dear shekar kapoor,

I happen to read the book “sadhguru more than a life” . The book is Mind blowing, magical, amazing, extraordinary, unbelievable but i think it is true, fantastic, phenomenal and whatever superlative words are there in english we can put that. The story is that good. I was a bit fooled by the first 25 pages which were a bit slow, then the book took off like a rocket. This story will put a hollywood thriller to shame. Even people not familiar with sadhguru will definitely enjoy this fantastic story. And if we are positive and receptive it will open up a huge possibility. We come to know of the determination, courage, sacrifice, ruthlessness, compassion of sadhguru for the benefit of humanity. This book is a must read. If this book itself is this good imagine the impact it would make on millions of people all over the world if it is filmed in english. I think you are the right person to make the film and thereby bring transformation , wellbeing and joy to millions of people. For all the sacrifice sadhguru has made for humanity inner engineering atleast needs to be taken to the maximum number of people. On behalf of humanity I very kindly request you to make the film.

    Best wishes

    shiva.
